About the event
Teens stuck at home? Seeking connection?
Join Coral Conant Gilles for a 7 part storytelling workshop (including an optional virtual performance!)
We'll explore personal stories and folktales. Using games, prompts, small groups, and individual coaching, each new storyteller will craft and rehearse a story to share at a live, virtual storytelling event.
Deepen your ability to communicate your ideas.
Learn about different times and places.
Improve your vocabulary.
Share your voice.
Gain confidence.
Build empathy and understanding.
Details
Who: Teens and Tweens 11 years and older (entering 6th grade and up, please).
When: Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 - 8:30 PM CDT, July 23 - August 13th. Please note Thursday start. August 13th will be a final virtual performance.
Need summer flexibility? Don't we all. If you have to miss a live workshop session, you can catch up by watching the recorded Zoom event (available for a limited time to workshop participants only).
Where: Anywhere! This is a virtual workshop. You will need a Zoom capable device with a microphone and stable internet or data connection. A camera on your device is ideal, but not required.
Cost: $150 per storyteller. Bring a friend or sibling and take $15 off for each, minimum number of participants required.
Scholarships available for marginalized youth. Please contact me for more details.
Bonus! The final performance will raise funds for a non-profit chosen by the storytellers!
