OASIS (Outdoor Adventure Steeped In Story) Mondays!

Open to those in K-5th grade

OASIS is a fully outdoor, nature immersed opportunity for kids to lead their adventure through exploration and imagination while being supported in social-emotional development and risk assessment. With a focus on Deep Nature Connection and storytelling, kids will play games, wildcraft, sneak, hide, build forts, share gratitude, tell stories, scamper up and over downed trees, listen to stories, and whatever else their imaginations create.

This program runs every other Monday,* 2:00-5:00 PM, beginning February 3rd and lasting for nine adventures!

Dates: February 3 and 17, March 3, 17, 31, April 14 and 28, May 12, June 2 (Spring make-up date, if needed June 9th)

        *Please note, MMSD no school days shift our every other week schedule, please check exact dates

A note about times - most MMSD elementary schools get out at 1:10 on Mondays, some get out at 2:00. Kids getting out of school at 2:00 are absolutely welcome! Please note that your child will be arriving late when you register and we'll check in with each other. 

We will be outside in all weather (rain, sun, snow). Cancellation will only occur for dangerous, extreme weather or if both primary mentors are sick (subs are available but one primary mentor will always be present)

Important Details

• Open to kids in Kindergarten - 5th grade, total of  up to 14 kids and two adult mentors
• Hoyt Park, Madison, WI (near west-side)
• $450 per child for the whole session, Sliding Scale: $338 - $562
• Dates: February 3 and 17, March 3, 17, 31, April 14 and 28, May 12, June 2 (Spring make-up date, if needed June 9th)
•           *Please note, MMSD no school days shift our every other week schedule, please check exact dates
• Time: 2:00-5:00 PM
• Families must provide their own transportation
• There will not be bathroom access at Hoyt Park during the winter and spring
• Black and Indigenous children/families take 10% off regardless of need. I support reparations and while I recognize that this is not the same as reparations, it is something tangible that I can do now. (What are reparations?) Please note this discount with payment.

After registering here, you will receive an email with a link to full registration, waivers, and payment information. You are not considered fully registered until both forms are completed and returned and payment is received. If forms and payment are not received within 5 days of registering, your spot may be released to the waiting list.

If registered for OASIS Mondays Fall and registering for OASIS Mondays Spring before September 30th and take $50 off spring registration!

Cancellation policies

30 days or more   --   Full refund minus $10 processing fee and any electronic payment fees

29 - 14 days   --   50% refund minus $10 processing fee and any electronic payment fees

13 days or less   --   no refund, if camp was full and cancelling participant finds replacement, filling camp again - 75% refund minus $10 processing fee and any electronic payment fees

I have some exceptions in my notes that all go in your favor, mostly regarding your assistance finding someone to replace you in the event of cancellation. Thanks.
