About the event
***Because of how the website works, you must register each individual separately. Thank you!***
Spin a tale, spin some yarn?
Craft a yarn, craft with yarn?
Weave a tale, weave a scarf?
Stitch a story, Stitch a scene?
Clearly stories and crafting go together. For millennia they have kept us connected in the darkest months, deepening our connection to ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
Oh and food! Sharing food makes everything better!**
Come together in these dark cold months to find the light, warmth, and richness we have to offer to each other.
We’ll gather in a cozy, indoor space, well-lit (gotta be able to see those stitches!) and heated with a delightful woodburning stove. Our evening will start with a shared potluck dinner then move into stories and crafting. I’ll be the primary storyteller, but this is a community gathering, not a performance event, so there will be opportunities for you to share your voice reflecting on the stories, sharing your stories, and chatting together. My hope is that we all go home having made a few new/deeper connections.
Please bring any quiet, portable project (doesn't have to be strictly crafts) that you are able to contain in a small space. Not a crafter? That’s fine, just bring yourself. This is definitely a “come as you are" event.
Geared for adults, teens welcome.
Saturday February 24; 6:00 - 9:00 PM
If this program fills quickly, an additional date of Feb 25, 1:00 - 4:00 PM will be offered. If you are only interested in 2/25, please email me. There is a place on the registration to note if you prefer 2/25 if it becomes available.
