About the event
I am so excited to be partnering with forager and basket maker Sienna Scott!
Baskets and Berries will have all the components of a regular OASIS camp with a focus on family adventure, building baskets, and foraging for berries. This weekend camp welcomes kids with or without adults; adults must be accompanied by a child. We will spend Saturday building our reed berry baskets, playing games, telling stories, deepening in connection to nature, ourselves, and each other, and adventuring. Sunday we will finish our baskets, as needed, then focus on foraging, plus all the other things that OASIS programs are built on! We will spend much time together as adults and kids; there will also be moments for adults to connect with just adults.
OASIS is a fully outdoor, nature immersed opportunity for kids (and adults!) to lead their adventure through exploration and imagination while being supported in social-emotional development and risk assessment.
After registration, you will be asked to select the colors for your baskets. Materials will be dyed just for you! Baskets are designed to be worn on the hip and are approximately 8" high and 8" in diameter.
